Auma's journal shares, "What a glorious day! It is sunny and warm – probably close to 80 degrees. As I sit here in our back yard overlooking the pool and the garden, I again feel as though this is my sanctuary. My place of peace. Good karma flags welcome people into this place and green vines grow up along the fence walls. I see Daddy here in the flowers he planted and in the little garden sculpture of children that he gave me. I read words that I painted on the garage wall that make me smile. Balance is found in the breath of contentment. This garden, this house, makes me smile. On the front porch, you can sit and rock and look beyond the draping, overgrown wisteria vine with its beautiful purple flowers that bloom in June and imagine yourself in a quaint cottage or seaside home. The sounds of Phillipstown bring you back, however, but that, too, is a pleasant diversion. . . I love this house and I am truly happy here."
