A personal message from Melinda. . .

June 23, 2008

Summer is finally here and as my book tour winds down, I am so happy to have a bit more time here at home relaxing at the beach or poolside!  This truly is my favorite time of year.   With the smell of honeysuckle heavy in the air and warm breezes blowing across my porch, I am able to take a little time to sit in peace and reflect on how grateful I am to be here.  I'm happy to think back on all the moments shared over the past year and how far this journey has taken me!  Having the chance to meet so many people and share Becoming Auma with them is a blessing that will last my lifetime.  Being at Book Expo and Maine Festival of the Book were both events that opened up the possibility that Becoming Auma may take on a larger audience.  I love to think that the story is now embarking on a journey of it's own and whatever happens is simply meant to be!

Thank you for your interest in Becoming Auma!  You, the reader, give the story life.  You laugh and cry along with Auma and hold a place for her in your heart.  Without you, Auma's story is only words on a page.

Enjoy a fabulous summer!

All the best ~ Melinda
