S.O.S. – Devoted to helping each other along this amazing journey called life.
The Society - A life long circle of friends who have shared laughter, tears, joys and sorrows; a secret sisterhood.
Peon - any child, boy or girl, belonging to a member of The Society, no age restrictions apply; once a peon, always a peon. Devoting a life long indebtedness to The Society for all the drama and trauma they stirred up along the way.
Do-bees - Husbands of the women in The Society. For all they do we appreciate their devotion to us. When they do things that please us, they are affectionately referred to as "Good Do-Bees" and when, on occasion, husbands have fallen out of favor with The Society, they become "Bad Do-Bees". The Society does not like "Bad Do-Bees". . .
Auma – A term of endearment given to members of The Society as they become grandmothers -
with affection and in reverence to all the drama and trauma that had transpired through the years.
The Society Queen – The privilege extended to one member of The Society each year, determined by a roll of the dice, providing opportunity to proclaim royal decrees, holding title to being number one and enjoying a year filled with suck up gifts offered by royal subjects. Each Queen will reign for one year only and will not be eligible to reign again until all other Society members have had a turn.
The Society Network - looking out for each other's children as if they were our own, sharing information and intervening when appropriate.
The High Counsel - a mysterious rule making entity hidden deep within the recesses of The Society's structure, known by few, acknowledged by none.
The Society's Vault - a mystical place, both literal and figurative, where stories, adventures and close calls are stored to be shared with member's ears only
