"As the months passed, Lynn and I became inseparable. We spent hours and hours at each other’s homes, making batches of cinnamon rolls from frozen bread dough, and eating them by the dozen. The boys played Legos together in the living room or created out-of-tune marching bands by banging on drums and playing plastic trumpets. We sat together tuning out the noisy chaos, sipping flavored coffee at the kitchen table."

Auma's Famous Cinnamon Rolls

This recipe is wicked easy and takes no time to prepare!

  • Buy frozen bread dough - Let dough defrost and rise.
  • When dough has risen, roll out to create a large flat dough surface
  • Sprinkle generously with brown sugar - cover the entire dough
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the brown sugar
  • Dot with pats of butter randomly placed on top of cinnamon
  • Roll dough into a log (like a jelly roll)
  • Cut small circles of the rolled dough
  • Place all the dough rolls in baking pan
  • Brush top of rolls with melted butter

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees!  Brew a large pot of coffee, sit around the kitchen table with your best friends and eat the whole pan!

Shh. . . truth be told, Auma was never a spectacular cook. . .  ;)  But her kitchen was always filled with laughter and love!
