Lets Play Bunko!!!
Auma shares, "With all my friends taking on new obligations in their lives, it was getting more difficult to stay in touch with everyone on a regular basis. However, all that changed when, after a long overdue visit with her family in California, Lynn gave us the gift of "Bunko". She had been introduced to the dice game on her visit and thought this would be the perfect excuse for us to get together once a month. Instead of our old coffee hours or Mothers' Club meetings, we’d play Bunko in the evening, with everyone taking a turn as hostess. Bunko is a mindless dice game in which you try to roll as many of a given number as you can during each round. If you happen to roll three of that number in a single roll of the dice, that is called a "Bunko". . . the most important aspect of the game, at least the way Lynn taught us to play, was that when you roll a Bunko, you yell and scream and make a scene in celebration. And so, our monthly Bunko get-togethers began. We’d catch up on all that was happening in our lives, enjoy a few cocktails, eat mass quantities of junk food and, oh yes, play the game."

Favorite Bunko Themes
- Cruise Bunko - dress up for a tropical cruise, serve icy blender drinks, in between Bunko rounds do the limbo!
- Christmas in July Bunko - put up a Christmas tree complete with lights, serve holiday cheer, wear Santa hats and everyone brings a 5$ Christmas gift to exchange in a Yankee swap!
- Bridesmaid Bunko - pull out all those horrible old bridesmaid dresses that you have hanging in your attic and wear them to Bunko (it doesn't matter if they no longer fit - if they don't zip, your back can show - it's ok :) Serve wedding cake and champagne punch!
- Mardi Gras Bunko - wear lots of beads and Mardi Gras masks, decorate in purple, green and gold, serve Hurricanes, an extra prize is won for the person with the most beads!
- St Patrick's Day Bunko - dress in green, serve green beer and lime jello shots, decorate with shamrocks and interrupt the game with many St Patrick's Day toasts!
- P.J. Bunko - wear comfy p.j.s (preferably p.j.s with a dice motif), eat a lot of chocolate, serve Mudslides - heavy on the Baileys and whipped cream.
